what a great bloggin' day

What a great day out today.
Although I wish it would get a little cooler out...I know those temps are on the way...so Ill just enjoy the time on my back deck in the nice weather while I can. I also like the times under the gazeebo near the fire pit when its cold out. ( I dont have one..but my friends do...and its super fun to be in their backyard) YES YES YES I just said "super fun" How "ELLE WOODS" of me. ( I love legally blonde)
It's weather like this today that inspire me to go run.
Did race for the cure on Saturday...finished in 34 minutes ( YES SO WHAT IM A JOGGER NOT A RUNNER) Seabiscut AKA my boyfriend: ryan...finished in 24 minutes...
He was there at the finish line cheering me on when I crossed....It was lots of fun...especially since a veggie omlet followed the race...so it was a good day.
Thanks to everyone out at Race for the cure...there was a very inspiring lady infront of me running the whole 3.1 miles on saturday..and although I dont know her name...she was an inspiration during the entire race.
Every time we passed a volunteer...although she was all out of breath..she still managed to thank each and every volunteer as we passed..." thank you for volunteering"...she was a joy to run behind..and kept me going the whole way....so whoever you are....you did a great job..and I wish there were more people like you.

I went to a halloween party on saturday..we carved pumpkins...prob not the safest thing after having some beverages...but mine was AWESOME!
fun weekend...gorgeous out yesterday..sat on the patio of the bayou and hung out with my friends...
I was pretending like I was in mexico..like my parents...they are on vacation right now..called us while we were out..said...Sun is great..this resort is beautiful and yes the sound you hear is the ocean...
gotta love vacation.....its cool...i think they brought me back stuff..cant wait to see what it is.!!!!!!!

Well another yuckie day...cold...rainy....does the weather not know what it does to my curly hair...I mean COME ON!

Ran in the rain yesterday ( felt like rocky balboa) trying to get ready for RACE FOR THE CURE...tomorrow morning....get ready..lace up....and come with and race walk run for a good cause.
Im pretty excited about that...cant wait..should be good times....rain or shine...

Our Promotions Director, Cindy, brought me some broccoli and rice...in a little cup..for a mid-day snack...I think cause she knows Im Italian and If I don't eat atleast every hour...Ill die....so..thanks to cindy for saving my life today..the broccoli was awesome!

IVE DECIDED!

Ok, so...I know we're not, but still....we talk alike..we cook alike..we eat alike..we have the same sense of humor...
It's crazy..she could be my sister...
Anyway....Ryan is getting tired of me DVR-ing Her shows all the time...30 minute meals...$40 a day...tasty travels ( Im obsessed with the food channel can you tell?) and her new TALK SHOW...Rachel Ray overload...
but I still love her!
I love that she eats..I love that she is not a stick figure...I love that she's got an italian husband..and they love to cook...and she gabs alot...

ANIMAL WOES

So, my cat won't stop wetting the guestroom bed...( no its not his bed....he just lays on it alot...) he's never done that before...so my morning started at 6 am...with a load of laundry then trying to get the cat in the kennel...( those of you who have cats know just how easy that is...NOT)
Ryan and I had to do a tag team effort with a peice of turkey for the luring and the sneaking.
Anywhooo....took cat to the vet...went krogering...ran some errands...and now at work...I feel like I've been awake for a week...I guess this is kinda what its like having kids...getting them ready for school...etc..
interesting....I wonder if You're allowed to stuff your kid in a kennel...they have kid leashes....kennels cant be far behind...
"reason 101 why I dont have kids yet"
Ive decided Im going to wait til all my friends have kids..( they just about all do now) so I can practice on thier kids...and then when it's my turn...I won't be so shocked....

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I was sick yesterday....still a little sicky today...but im functioning. Everyone I know is sick in one way or another...It's because the weather is 85 one day and then 56 the next.
Messes us all up....that time of year again!!!

CONGRATS to brooky...went to her wedding on saturday..it was awesome..she was so pretty as usual....it was a great time.

Weekend Frustrations!

1. Waiting at home on a saturday for the Satellite Tv company ( which shall remain nameless, but those of you who have it probably know the one) all day and having them NOT show up for the second saturday in a ROW!
2. Waking up at 7 am to make coffee and finding out that you have no coffee filters left, ( so you use a papertowel ( college trick) it works!)
3. Going to the grocery store that carries your favorite fat free chocolate milk to satisfy your chocolate milk craving, only to find out when you get to work and open it that ITS ALREADY BEEN OPEN AND IS HALF GONE!!! GEEROSS!!!!
thats all I have for now!
I need to head out to the tiger tailgate and chill with the budweiser folks!

Does anyone have any remedies for NOT getting sick? I think I'm coming down with a cold BLAH and I can NOT get sick...any remedies to getting better quick other than tea and rest and all that jazz?!

This Past Weekend

Well, I hope everyone had a great great weekend...
Mine was pretty good.
Friday I went to see Hootie and the Blowfish..where I proceeded to sing as loud as I could. Good thing MudIsland has a very adequate and loud sound system, I sure would hate to disturb the people in front of me.
We bought my friend a pink cowboy hat ( dont ask why..cause im not sure) and proceeded to put it on everyone in our row and take pictures with them.
Ill be posting those soon so you can have a laugh right along with me.
Saturday I waited at home for my satellite dude to come hook up my new dish...he never came, blah! Getting ditched by the cable guy is AWESOME..and always fun and never a waste of time...NOT!
( yes I said NOT...im bringing it back..get used to it)
yesterday...did the brunch thing..at owen brennans with mom and dad...it ruled...and so did the mamosas..
now back to work...back to playing dj...see you at 10 on the air.

Not exactly sure what will be going on or where I'll be quite yet.
Im sure you will be able to find me on a patio somewhere enjoying the weekend. I turn 30 on Tuesday so I'm sure ill have to celebrate my last few days of 29. If you see me...buy me a drink...jk :0)
Its supposed to be super pretty out. Ryan and I will be at HOOTIE tonight at Mud Island. We love Mud Island. Still the Rob Thomas show was the best...but im sure hootie will be pretty good..especially since Cowboy Mouth ( which I love) will be playing also. Ryan's not a big fan...but I am..and since its my birthday..I WIN! :0)
ps. Im so excited..I get my DVR tomorrow. WAHOO!

What would you do with $1400.? THINK! What would you do if I said you couldn't use it to pay bills or do anything smart with the money. It would be alot more fun if I said what would you do with..say..powerball type money...like..387 million. But, unfortunately Ron, Steve and Karen dont have 387 million to give away..BUT ...they DOOOO have 1400.00 to giveaway on Tuesday. OK so I'm going to give you a little tip. Brush up on your movie trivia...steve likes to ask stupid easy questions..for all the small questions...then when he gets to the really big one that matters...the money winning question if you will...its crazy impossible...like..what color was the shirt that bruce willis was wearing in the second scene of die hard. Its annoying I know...but there is alot of money at stake.
So, Good luck...ill be sending you good thoughts.
As for me? I would buy lots of shoes...and wine...and sit at home...with a bottle of red...and try on my new heels...I love heels...ORRRR Id blow it all on one pair of monolo's....those are fabulous shoes that I would never ever be able to afford unless I won the blockbuster trivia challenge.
And, since I work here and can't win...Ill just have to admire yours!
